This was actually a really solid movie.
I give it a 9 out of 10.
Better than Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman.
This was entertaining. I don't know why the critics are bringing it down. There was nothing muddled about the plot.
The adaption from it's comic book premise is quite faithful.
Viola Davis is Amanda Waller. The acting and the writing were spot on for her character.
Will Smith channeled the spirit of Deadshot, although, unlike his comic book counter part, talks a bit more...
Margot Robbie shines as Harley Quinn. Sure, I would have liked just a tiny bit more craziness and a hint more of the Brooklyn accent, but still, she was good.
I was afraid of Cara Delevingne playing Enchantress. I thought that this character should have been played by someone like Eva Green. But she did well, considering the character, its history as detailed by the movie, she was good.
Honorable mention to everyone else who played in the movie, the actors did a good job with Katana, Captain Boomerang, El Diablo, Killer Croc, etc.
Jared Leto's Joker was unique in a good way.
Yes, we have Batman! :) Mr. Affleck again, did great!
Both Batman and Joker had small, but important roles in the movie, they were well organically included.
Unlike Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman, the Suicide Squad movie was well written.
That counts for much and this was a solid cast.
Go see it, the critics I believe are paid to put down this movie somehow. I don't know why.
And stay after the first set of credits.. There is more movie.. More goodies to come! :)
Don't believe the critics, they are drinking Marvel's Kook Aid. The movie is a step up from Man of Steel and worth seeing. The Audience, the one who actually pays to see this stuff, they know their shit. These critics, they need to be lined up and shot down.
An observation here: Why wasn't Ray Liotta chosen for this? With that make-over I feel that Johnny Depp has a huge Ray Liotta vibe. Would have made more sense to have Liotta as the main character instead of Depp. Still, who knows, might be a good movie
Saw it twice, it's that good. And again, although everybody's performance was great, Rocket Racoon and Groot really get the thumbs up. And something I noticed but never put 2 and 2 together until now. Chris Pratt in this movie anyways, looks like a young version of Dean Cain in the 'Adventures of Lois and Clark'.. They could be brothers. Amazing. In the serious moments, the same type of mannerism and the same types of faces. Just saying! :P
Saw it yesterday and it was actually pretty darn good. I'm a sucker for these movies. I did wish it wasn't PG 13, I think it neutered the movie a little. These types of movies should have been hardcore action and violence in my opinion and rated R. But it was still a thrill to see it on the big screen. There is definitively potential for either a 4th one or a spin-off with the younger crew which was assembled (trying not to spoil anything here).. Anyways, it was better than the 2nd one and it's worth watching.
