Okja
Okja(2017)

Enjoyed, but didn't get the roles of ALF folks in the film. Feels like the characters are just wasted.

Moonlight
Moonlight(2016)

so nicely filmed but the plot was a little monotonous.

Arrival

wanna read the original novel.

La La Land
La La Land(2016)
½

unrealistic images with a realistic story

The BFG
The BFG(2016)

what the hell is this film?

Zootopia
Zootopia(2016)

Watched it several years ago but certainly I loved this film so much. The blurred distinction between good and evil makes the story line more interesting.

Spirited Away

Spirited Away re-released in South Korea, I watched it again and can't help re-rating it with 5-star. Truly the best anime so far in the 21st.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1

It's not spectacular but Jennifer Lawrence is really pretty in this film. She's getting prettier with age.

Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow
½

nicely filmed. one of the best sci-fi movies of Tom Cruise.

Interstellar
Interstellar(2014)

I've read many scientific books about astronomy and macro-physics since I was young. They made me imagine how the cosmos looks like and struggle with complex theories like the theory of relativity. That gave me a good knowledge of physics. This film made my imagination come true. It vividly described celestial bodies in high quality video and its story is mostly based on well known theories of physics. I highly recommend you to watch this film at a theater. It's worth much more than the price of a ticket.

Moneyball
Moneyball(2011)
½

The topic of this film is baseball but it definitely means more than that. Moneyball seems to be totally scientific method but it finally works only when Billy interacts with players face to face. He innovated conventional wisdom of baseball but at some point he accepted a general golden rule that it's all about the people.
This movie never becomes boring because of its great cinematic techniques though it rarely shows game scenes. And last but not least Kerris Dorsey's singing was so lovely. I really enjoyed this film.

Begin Again
Begin Again(2014)
½

Really loved its great music, beautiful images but not its ending. I think it should have run longer than that.. Anyhow this film feasted my years especially when Keira sang. I didn't think of her singing but her voice's truly lovely.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Jack's jolly as he always has been, the story's worse than ever.

Léon: The Professional

It depicts pure love brilliantly without kisses and sex. And Natalie, the most beautiful girl that I've ever seen. Gary Oldman's acting was also impressive.

The Dark Knight

The hero looks so effete unlike other superhero films, but this makes it the best of them.
Needless to say Heath Ledger completed this masterwork. He will be remembered eternally for this work. RIP.

The Shawshank Redemption

Before writing this review, watched it once again then it made me cry again as it has done before.
Who cannot give this masterpiece a perfect score? This's the only movie that brought tears to my eyes not for the sorrow of tragic ending, but for the pure and deep happiness of shining ending.
I always reflect the quotes and the scenes of this movie when I feel like being "institutionalized" in the present. It drives me to keep going to seek real "freedom". This is the best move I've seen ever and has impacted on my whole life.

Frozen
Frozen(2013)

Love is putting someone else's needs before yours.

Home Alone

Twilight
