I thought this was a good movie, really exciting althought it began rather slowly. The way the primitive Chinese 'Kangeroo courts' operated seems to ring true. I liked the way the character developement took place which was how films should go. If Chinese mythology is to be believed then the participants in the diobolical human rights fiasco which takes place as a matter of course, as in Tiananmen Square as just one example, means they'll end up in Hell: Diyu is typically depicted as a subterranean maze with various levels and chambers, to which souls are taken after death to atone for the sins they committed when they were alive. The exact number of levels in Diyu and their associated deities differ between Buddhist and Taoist interpretations. Some speak of three to four "courts"; others mention "Ten Courts of Hell", each of which is ruled by a judge (collectively known as the Ten Yama Kings); other Chinese legends speak of the "Eighteen Levels of Hell". Each court deals with a different aspect of atonement and different punishments; most legends claim that sinners are subjected to gruesome tortures until their "deaths", after which they are restored to their original state for the torture to be repeated. If it was a Western Hell then Lucifer would be waiting with a red hot poker and we all know where that goes.
I feel compelled to agree with the majority of folks, yes it's a load of crap. Poor old Cage and I gave up in under eight minutes.
Every film should have a blind driver who can't see a pedestrian in the road long before they run them over, or was it deliberate? Or what was a pedestrian doing in the middle of the road in the first place? Would any normal person do that? Also what nutter who goes through a school slaughtering kids stops to chat to two girls he knows? It doesn't happen. A little bit confusing and needed binding together more efficiently.
It wasn't half bad, a .lot better than many films of this genre.
How did Brucie get involved in crap like this? Was it the money Bruce? Tell us the truth.
