This is a unique movie about political corruption, small town politics, and of course individual greed. There's a wacky and reckless sense of humor to it that's enticing. It gets a little tiresome during the middle, but man a lot of the problems are as relevant today as they were back then.
This movie snoozed me to death. I was tired quick.
Ouch. It's hard to watch the selfishness of Billy. He's just so spoiled and trashy. Everyone has a little of that side to them, but Billy is 99% dirty devil and pretty much always listens to 'em.
An awesome snapshot in time of NYC and the boho lifestyle and all of its eccentricities and excesses. The art is stunning and awe-inspiring. A dark, twisted, American Classic.
This movie is really boring. I have no problem with slow paced movies. I love 2001. This movie is no 2001. There's too much drama hinging on the 0.00001% possibility of someone floating in the correct direction. The "womb" symbolism hits hard, obvious, slow, and often. Though a lot of the visuals are beautiful. The plot just doesn't work.
