Damsel is a boring purposeless movie that won't show you anything you haven't seen before. In addition to this, its poor script and bad direction work made its talented cast seem ridiculous in their performances and its almost two hours of duration a unworthy sacrifice.
Brahms II is one of the most formulaic and unoriginal movies I saw this year, probably the worst one. The acting wasn't good and the excessive jumpscares lost their effect after so many lost attempts. The cliches were everywhere.
Parasite should have been shortened before its releasing, but despite the lack of pertinence felt during some scenes it has some great gripping moments. Its outstanding cast also helped to turn an interesting premise into a whole different refreshing story. The cinematography is undeniably amazing and the director did a great job gathering all the pieces to construct something new.
Marriage story is uninspired that will make you feel uneasy while waiting for something pertinent to happen, but that will let you hung up. Nor even its stellar cast can save this movie from a boredom story line. Predictable and formulaic. Too overrated.
We have an intriguing premise here and a lot to develop, however I don't think the direction of the movie was the best. Sometimes I felt that there was a lack of authenticity as the performances sometimes seemed too forced in that context. However the movie is still interesting, although the suspense scenes could have been more thrilling than they were.
