Its a good movie that could have been even better. The gratuitous and graphic blood and guts were overdone to achieve some degree of shock appeal. The story is endearing and well worth the telling. Hollywood attempts realism with only mild success - develop your characters more...have us buy into them and this movie will have legs long past its theatre run time. It is disappointing that Hollywood has all but forgotten how to tell a story.
An underrated movie with an awesome soundtrack. If you are expecting Ben-Hur or the Bible...you would be disappointed. If you are looking for an interesting 90 minutes to waste...this movie more than gives you the entertainment you are looking for.
An enjoyable outing for Tom Selleck. He is at his best when giving a light almost comedic delivery of a character that could have been easily been over done. Alan Rickman and Laura San Giacomo both provide the extra chemistry and quips to make this movie enjoyable anytime you watch it.
While not my favourite movie...it does have numerous visions to a possible future with our constant reliance on technology. Gene Simmons proved that he isn't an actor...but has a masterful use of an evil grin. For light entertainment...just for entertainment sake...this movie DOES deliver.
Light entertainment with a little of the charm that made Tom Selleck a fan favourite. A predictable storyline didn't and doesn't matter...particularly when considering the formula crap coming out of Hollywood. Critics and haters will have their day in the sun...but on the grand scheme of things light humour and films that don't take themselves too seriously are refreshing.
