Sometimes a bit too melodramatic and it could use some trimming around the edges, but the strong performances from the entire cast holds the film together. It tries to hold back some punches, but they ultimately fall through making the film much better had those punches been blocked.
A masterpiece in story telling. It has its funny gross out moments while also being intelligent. In fact, the film was better the second viewing, which is a feat not many films can achieve.
Matthew Vaughn is a name you should start to recognize. He always seems to make the cliche fresh and fun, and Kingsman is another perfect example. The action is superb and stylized, and with plenty of character actors in various roles, it is a must see.
Giant is giant in length with plenty of content to ponder about, it's just a bit too much to digest sometimes.
Hawks is a true visionary. The remake is far superior, but the foundations that made it great came from Hawks.
