Best season yet but lower stakes. Really fun.
This season was definitely an improvement on the last one and I'm so happy they are focusing more on the leading ladies and their relationship with each other. Sometimes a bit scattered in its focus but most of the problems I had with the show were gone by the 8th or 9th episode and I'm ready for the wild and fun ride I'm sure to be the next season. Some very funny moments like the tobasco throwing, the blood from the palm oil, and a lot more.
Ryan is super fucking annoying. I loved all the other character's except the mom's boyfriend. I thought that him and Ryan became rude for no reason. Apart from that I loved all the characters and found myself shipping people and chuckling but not laughing. I'm excited to see where this show goes. It's short but sweet. there is a certain romance i can't wait to see develop and I really don't want his mom to feel like she is guilty. Hopefully they don't take the show in that direction.
hmmmm. this was super tense and I feel like not juicy enough as it wants to be and there are some inconsistencies and just bad editing jobs being done especially in the social media aspects and just how shots flow and many aren't cohesive but I was thoroughly entertained and definitely tuning in for the next season.
I love this show.
What a twisty thing you were. i feel like we went around in circles a lot and the younger characters grew very annoying but Alex, Julie, and Carter made up for it and i still feel like this season kept up with the first.
So my review dissapeared but a gave this a 3.75-4/5. really liked this season
That was AMAZING WOW!! I was gonna give this a 4.5/5 but then i just can't give it less than a 5. Beech I'm sorry. The characters, the plot, the background music. Everything is incredible. I honestly don't know how there can be a 2nd season but i'm looking forward to it so much.
Such a vital series to be made. I am thankful for everyone involved and for Selena to be the who made me interested in the book and now the series in the first place. Sure it is flawed but this series has changed my life and you can feel the passion in the storytelling and acting. Super powerful and I would recommend this to everyone because even if its not the best, its the most necessary.
Wow that was a whirlwind! So many things happened and most of them worked effectively. Unlike other shows I've seen that talk about the music industry this one explores the business of it quite a bit more accurately and I love the different artists at various points in their careers because we get a change of atmosphere. The music is good not great but there is a lot of variety. Overall this show is very relatable and emotional and I really really loved the first season.
I don't know whether to give it a 3 or 3.5 but i'll probably give it a 3 because the writing was quite lazy at times. But i did like it much more than the unspeakable Freak Show and the disastrous Hotel and found myself actually scared and there were also many shocking moments as well. The acting was quite good from some of the characters but I miss the more artsy qualities of the series.
ummmm..... this was a disaster. A big disaster and it is nearly impossible to fix now. I will keep watching, but wow what a disaster. Cookie keeps on making this interesting though i am still so frustrated. I really have no idea what to give this so i will give my undecisive 2.5/5. The writers need to stop turning this into a bad soap (which it is headed for) and make this the intense and addictive show it almost was in season 1.
The first four seasons were going on a very fast downhill slope but this season was a big change. The characters really annoy me but in a very familiar way which i am used to now and actually enjoy. Hannah always really confuses me as a character because she is just so clueless and selfish but I can kind of empathize with her. The episodes that focused solely on Marnie and Shoshanna were really good and I also loved Elijah's arc so much in the story. Adam I have never really liked and continue to dislike just because of how crazy he is and I can't understand why so many of the characters gravitate towards him though I feel like Jessa is his perfect match because she is insane. It has been a bumpy ride for girls but we are getting back on track for what I hope to be an incredible final season.
First half 2.5/5 second half 4.5/5. What happened in the first few episodes I can't really even recall because it was so uneventful. But when the pace picks up we get a few hilarious episodes, many of the plot-lines I am not invested in but there were so many things that i loved from this episode that i might write about later, but Sheila is definitely my favorite part of this series. A few too many accidental pregnancy, abortions, adoptions, fertility problems etc. for me. This show is always good when it focuses on the adults and not so much on the we are a family type thing that for me just spoils it. But overall a messy but enjoyable season that even the episodes I didn't like had me laughing a lot.
Some things really frustrated me, and they get a bit preachy with the whole we are a family thing every once in a while but overall really really good. Just a hilarious show filled with great messages and a lot of insanity, and i mean a lot. Just hope they focus on the teenagers a bit more because for me at least I honestly don't care about any of the adults or the kids. There were so many elements to this season that made it special to me and hard to stop watching but I just feel the willingness to not hold anything back and just get crazy with the storytelling made it super entertaining.
What a disaster. The first couple of episodes were not entertaining but were gorgeous with a lot of sex and blood and then more sex and more blood. The middle part was great at developing characters and having more fun with the story and the last two episodes were boring and uneventful. Some of the best moments in AHS are in this season but the ending was rushed and nearly nothing was resolved and what was wasn't satisfying. But though I don't think I will check into the Hotel again, it was pretty entertaining. Not sure how to rate it so I will give it a 2.5/5. Several steps up from the awful Freak Show (which I will change my rating for) but not near as good as the first three. Lady Gaga is queen and is a great actress Matt Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson are super talented and gorgeous, Angela Basset is always awesome playing her sassy characters , but apart from a great cast I am left feeling empty from Hotel. So much potential but there was too much imagination and not enough resolution.
The overall show has a good concept and lots of twists and turns. The dialogue especially in the first five or six episodes is dreadful especially when it comes to the high school love triangles. But when the show stops dealing with stereotypical issues and gets into the fun stuff with its mythology and mystery that's when it really gets exciting, but like a lot of things that have to do with fantasy/action things begin slow slow for the first 30 minutes and suddenly the music gets intense and its full speed for the last bit, and I'm starting to get tired of that formula. Hopefully the second season removes these flaws and adds a lot of attention to Damon and Katherine, making it a purely smooth and adrenaline pumping ride, which is what this show does best.
What an insane ride. So sad its finally over, really hope it gets picked up. Can't really review this show because everything about it is crazy and makes no sense, but that's what made me love it so much. Just don't think about it, watch it, it's so worth it. Sure there are a few problems with the overall plot and logic of it all, and now that i think of it, the red devil was SO obvious that i sort of thought it couldn't be (this person) but Scream Queens is a great laugh and is best when it is taken without any seriousness whatsoever.
There was never an episode that really thrilled me. The best ones were mediocre and the worst ones were nearly unwatchable (entertaining wise). The sets were always very pretty and the season had a great idea with a couple standout moments but the way it all played out was very disappointing. The characters were very fun though (if not a bit cheesy at times) and I thoroughly enjoyed Dandy, fell in love with Ma Petite, and sobbed over Pepper's sad story. Some of the more gruesome scenes were very entertaining and the weird tone elevated the show, but though it had lots of great potential, poor direction made the whole season weaker than the first three.
2.5/5?? very hard to rate
This season was actually fun. The whole concept of witches was exciting to watch and the characters were all unique and interesting. The overall plot was pretty lame but it didn't affect me much because it is a blast nearly all the way throughout. The ending was a bit disappointing but getting there through all the blood, betrayal, sex, and magic was worth it. Probably my favorite season so far (currently) but just barely. A nice transition from the first two terrifying seasons to a season with a lot more humor added into it with enough gore, demons, and weirdness to stay true to the series.
