Yet another Stephen King adapted film from one of his many hit books comes to the big screen and does not disappoint. Is it a creepy or thrilling as The Shining? No, but it has just enough thrills and chills to keep you enthralled in a suspense-driven horror film that will keep you entertained through the entire film.
An absolute thrill ride of a war film that brought me joy and sometimes had me on the edge of my seat, Midway was a great representation of the events after Pearl Harbor. Acting was superb, story was well executed and the action was very well done. Definitely worth seeing in the theater with the best sound.
Honestly one of the best movies of the year with a performance by Joaquin Phoenix that deserves at least an Oscar nod. Joker gives us a good look at how the crazy clown got to be who he is and how mental illness can take over your body. Brilliant work by Todd Phillips and phenomenal performance from Phoenix.
Ten years later, we finally get a sequel to the classic zombie film and it was definitely worth the ten year wait. All the laughs and zombie-fighting action as the original with new characters that brought new laughs and overall a fantastically gruesome and bloody good time.
A great sequel to a fantastic horror/thriller film! One of the biggest flaws to me was too many flashbacks, some scenes kinda dragged on, and the story had some issues. But the acting was amazing with a Oscar-worthy performance by Bill Hader, awesome set pieces, and good “jump” scares! An overall good addition to a great horror film!
There is very few good things in this movie, in fact, this movie is so awful, it's laughable. The comedy is the main genre and yet there is almost nothing to laugh about. Very dull characters and very poor plot. It's one of those movies where it's so bad, it's funny.
As Above, So Below isn't a terrible horror flick, but by no means is it a good one. The are way too many jump scares, there's very little suspense and in the little suspense there is, its filled with creepy sounds and audio that try to scare you but is so predictable. The acting is actually somewhat decent, but has some very cheesy moments that sometimes ruin the moment. This is a film you should just wait to see on Netflix or DVD, not in a theater.
This movie is visually mind-blowing, everything looks very realistic and the nostalgia was very present here. Didn't care how you couldn't see the emotions from the facial expressions the animals tried to portray, but other than that this film exceeded my expectations and is the best Disney remake so far!
Annabelle Comes Home had something that the original film lacked-tension and scares. This film did a great job at building up tension and while the scares were predictable, we didn't know exactly when to expect them! Overall, this film is probably the best of the Annabelle movies but could've been so much better.
Crawl presents a new and interesting idea to hurricane films by adding something maybe even more terrifying-alligators. This movie is not prefect by any means, but there is plenty to like about this movie. The acting performances were actually quite good, plot was pretty stable and the tension and suspense were very much present. Overall a great new horror/thriller movie that should be seen with an audience.
After the events of Endgame, Far From Home continues the saga after Iron Man leaves the world a hero. The character development if very well done, plot is amazing and with plenty of humor and action, Far From Home gives us another fantastic addition to the MCU despite all main avengers no longer here.
Ralph Breaks the Internet is a movie filled with cameos from all over the internet, from websites and video sites to characters and apps, this movie has a little bit of everything for everyone. A well animated film that is full of laughs and heart and lots of surprises.
With the fourth installment of this incredible franchise, I was worried it wouldn't live up to the previous films, but I was actually impressed. Is it flawless? No, but it's still an amazing and beautifully animated film with lots of laughs, surprisingly dark moments and some heartfelt moments. Overall a fantastic addition to a nearly flawless franchise.
