Although at times it is frustratingly slow, "Mary Magdalene" re-examines Mary of Magdala's importance in the story of Christ as a true follower and disciple of his word in a time when women had a limited role to play in both society and spirituality.
"Replicas" is a modern equivalent of the 50s science fiction camp the comics on MST3K would make fun of. It's a lackluster wannabe TV pilot without even a molecule of the genius found in movies like "Ex Machina."
One of the greatest, worst things I've ever seen. What starts out as a wonderfully bad and over-the-top erotic thriller goes completely bonkers with an absolutely preposterous twist that you might not believe even if I told you.
Mostly a blander, overlong version of the kind of story the Safdie brothers told in the incredible "Good Time."
I give "The Dirt" credit for not toning down or sanitizing what it depicts, but it focuses so much on the sex, drugs, and tragedies that it leaves little room for the music.
