F**king incredible! I haven't felt this kind of hatred and also disgust for someone since the purple wedding in game of thrones. And that ending really got me by surprise. 10/10 one of the best found footage films to date.
A powerful performance, with touching but also humorous moments. Burnham is revolutionising stand-up as we know it, whilst showing how being unafraid to put yourself out there pays off.
A story that's captivating, acting which forms true emotions, scares which will make you shiver, and incredibly realistic audio.. What more can one want from a horror? This was the most enjoyable cinema viewing I've been through in a mighty long time!
It has it's flaws and low points, but the story told is unique, strange, and interesting.
A true masterpiece. The Gift offers such depth in writing and symbolism, that you will almost immediately want to pay attention. Edgerton has outdone himself in his directional debut, and crafted a beautiful motion picture with a compelling story behind it. Comes highly recommended for moviegoers who appreciate attention to detail.
Slighty funny and original, but not enough to make you have any interest in the following events. Outdated special effects which are almost laughable, and horrible plotholes make 'Tremors' painful to watch.
Entertaining on a new level.
Tarantino had the chance to make this a bestselling story of a black slave turning into a total 'bad-ass' and, sadly, he took it. I expected a real hero in Django, most of all, a noble man. What we got is an egoistic douchebag who enjoys getting revenge, nothing more. In the end I had more sympathy towards the slavemasters than bloody Django. However it's still pretty entertaining, and if you're fine with immoral, unrealistic, over-the-top spaghetti westerns, then you're gonna have a great time. --Go Django!
With exception of one action sequence in Vienna, this is far less entertaining than one might think. It's the same formula, two-dimensional characters, and a cliché villain all over again. Painful to watch, yet might just work if you want to doze off to a brainless film with decent stunts and spycraft.
The most creative and fun Nazi story ever made!
Not only does this film tell a sweet lovestory of two youngsters with many unsuspected hits and bumps on their way, but is also tells the interesting and relatable stories of the supporting roles. A great laugh, an exceptional reminiscence of the '80s, and superb acting can all be found in 'Adventureland'.
In the end it's worth the watch. Incredibly entertaining, but also speaks the truth about our society!
Shocking. I watched this film expecting to see a tragic tale of oil and how it took over america, but this is so much more. The acting, soundtrack, cinematography, and storyline are all so perfected that you will watch with joy as the story unrambles. Yes, the movie has its small flaws, but so does every masterpiece. I think I'd not enjoy it as much if I expected an epic story as this, so lower your expectations and try to keep trailers and spoilers away so that the true effect of this movie will hit you.
While the movie had its flaws, especially in the narrative, and writing, I still had a blast! A very refreshing idea about a bomb strapped to the main protagonist not only builds tension, but it also provides fantastic humour and badassery. Just remember to take this movie a bit less seriously than the plot might indicicate you should.
While the script and storyline were thoroughly thought out, uncle Charlie's character wasn't. If uncle Charlie would've been represented as a killer with a deeper meaning behind his murders, and if it would've been explained why he dislikes wealthy women so much (instead of just hating them out of the blue), AND if young Charlie showed more grief after killing him, then I would have given 'Shadow of a doubt' a full on 5 star rating, since the acting and storytelling is beautifully done.
This film drives on your own imagination. You need to truly believe in the story told so that you can relate to the victims and experience the thrills yourself. This can sometimes be hard because of poor script, or acting, but other than that a decent horror film especially if you get fooled by its supposedly true background story.
Imaginative, exciting, and innovative.
'Inside Out' is not just a movie, it's a representation of our daily emotions and how we deal with them. The film does this with such charm that you might shed a few tears here and then. A great addition is the movie's interpretation of the real world: nothing is supernatural if you dont want it to be! So I herefore call 'Inside Out' a true work of art.
Birdman is a film you won't forget very quickly. Every scene was captivating and essential to the mind-boggling story told.
