This movie has mixed emotions for me. I love the idea behind the movie and the cast is brilliant, including newcomer 'Taron Egerton' who is a good actor. But some of the scenes were somewhat unrealistic, which I assume is the appeal. I adore the cast and the hilarious scenes. Enjoyed this movie very much and didn't want it to end. Speaking of the end, this movie has a great ending which made me smile ear to ear.
This movie was utterly painful to sit through, and there was good acting in some areas but it lacked actual common sense from among the characters, almost as though they completely forgot how to act in the real world. Additionally, what happened to the parents influence?!
"Sometimes it is the people no one imagines anything of who can do the things no one imagines" -The Imitation Game. Many more insightful quotes await whoever watches this movie, and they all deliver a message with a deeper meaning. This movie has what I would consider an all star cast, because they all are brilliant and extremely well known. Not only are Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightly are great as always, but the supporting characters are good making the entire movie blissful to watch. The film twists and turns in the plot leaving you hungry for more and is completely unexpected. The only downside this movie has is that I feel as though some questions were a bit unanswered. This is a great movie and a must see!
I was very disappointed with this movie. The entire idea of a 'DUFF' or "Designated ugly fat friend" is somewhat horrifying, which I understand may be where the creators were coming from. I was intrigued to see this movie and this is what I got from it. There was good acting and filming, and sometimes a funny tone. But part of the things I found wrong with this movie were that the characters seemed too old to play teenagers or eighteen year olds in high school, it was very dramatic, and I found it predictable. It was however funny in some areas and might be entertaining to see if you are with friends, but I would not recommend it. If you did like this movie, I am very glad that you did and have a great day.
