I don't know why all the hate from the critics. I thought Matthew Mcconaughey played the character brilliantly and set the dark humor tone perfectly. It felt like a darker version of the Big Lebowski and the writing was very creative.

Brilliant movie with social commentary that continues to be very relevant. I am looking forward to other movies by these two writers.

Great movie about intergenerational friendship. Loved the humor and the chemistry of the main characters. Also filmed in a beautiful location of New Zealand. Enjoyed it much more than Jojo Rabbit.

First half of the movie did not achieve the character development it was going for and feels like it needs a lot of editing. The ending saved the movie for me but Adam Sandler's acting was overrated in my opinion.
