No to the atheist nun; just wasn't believable. The first episode started off interesting regardless. But, it then became ridiculous not in a satire or Monty Python or even Princess Bride good way. It was just bad. Sad, because I wanted to like it. Bad kept going to worse.
A tired and bleh storyline. They either should have ended it at Season 4 or followed the books. This season is just bad.
It's more of a disproportionate bi-fest agenda than any actual plot or story. When it is so diproportionate to the actual real life population then it feels forced snd contrived. The agenda was not skillfully introduced in the show. Instead the agenda IS the show.
While Season 1 was fantastic, Season 2 truly disappoints. I cannot recommend it sadly. It completely gets away from the children's book and has terrible plot and writing particularly later episodes in the season.
I really liked the character Iron Fist in the Defenders, so I tried to watch the stand alone Iron Fist . I can't get through the first episode. It has the poorest writing so far. I don't know his comic book history, but so far it is really bad. He's barefoot and homeless listening to hip hop. Yes a wealthy white boy grows up in an Asian monk culture, yet he comes to the U.S. with no shoes listening to hip hop. It just don't sense the Asian feel to the character that I felt with him in the Defenders. I'm not sure I can keep watching. It' really bad bad bad writing so far.
HORRIBLE ACTING. HORRIBLE WRITING AND DIRECTING.
Horrible acting. horrible writing and directing.
