I am watching all of Schwarzenegger's movies in order, this is #7. This would be the first movie in the list that I would recommend people watch. The original Terminator is over 30 years old and is still better than most of the sequels that it spawned. Classic Arnold lines, and still a good movie despite it's age.
I am watching all of Arnold's movies in order, this is #6. To be fair this is no worse than Conan the Barbarian, and actually might be slightly better. It's still pretty cheezy and poorly acted, but I gave it an extra half a star for all the horse punching.
I am watching all of Arnold Schwarzenegger's movies in order, this was #5. This might be my least favorite one so far, and the first 4 were not good movies. How this movie has a sequel and reboot (that is somehow worse than the original) is a mystery. It's Arnold's first starring role, but he really doesn't say much, and most of the plot doesn't make any sense. James Earl Jones is some sort of evil snake (literally) and Conan and his friends have to kill him for a bunch of reasons. That's the best I can do here. I guess if you are going to watch one of the Conan movies it would be this one, but unless you are Schwarzenegging like I am, don't bother.
I watched this because I am trying to watch all of Schwarzenegger's movies in order. He really isn't in it very much, so don't watch it for Arnie. This is your typical goofy 70's/80's comedy. Lots of people getting injured in ridiculous ways and car chases. It's a good late night and nothing else is on movie, but that's about it.
Watching all of Schwarzenegger's movies in order, this is #3. This seems beneath Kirk Douglas and Ann Margret. Kirk Douglas is literally Wile E. Coyote, he actually painted a tunnel on the side of a mountain, and Arnold and Ann-Margret drove through it. It isn't so much funny, as it is ridiculous.
