If Ryan Reynolds wasnt in this movie it wouldve been a 1star. Villain is so bad and predictable the 1st time in comes on screen on a TV i already knew it was him. The girl character is completely pointless, the action is standard, the 2nd act is boring af. Thank god Ryan Reynolds did this movie.
I actually like this movie. There are certainly problems. The opening scene before Jean sucks up the solar flare was boring and the middle is sloppy, with the movie jumping from location to location and jumping to different characters in an instant. Everything that had to do with Jessica Chastains character was shit. Completely takes you out of the Jean Grey story. Jean shouldve been the main villian. The final action scene after the train crashes was terrible. Other than that the movie i like. All the actors are great, and i appreciate the darker tone present in the film, unlike the cartoonish MCU. And it certainly is darker than Apocalypse and Days Of Future Past, even though all FOX Xmen films except for Origins have a grounded feel to them. The action(other than the final one) is good, sometimes great. The scene of Magneto v Jean, Charles's Group v Magneto's Group and Charles being forced to walk are all great stuff. Movie definetly doesnt deserve the hate its getting.
Offensive in its own rights, but one of the smartest movie ever made
A huge pain in the ass to watch. Certain scenes are funny, but not all. Esp the scenes in the support group. Has minimal heart. Shows a adoption fairly realistically. Has its emotional moments. Great acting. Then again, pain in the ass to get through
Not an MCU fan, hate Infinity War, but loved Endgame. Has some pacing issues, but an epic conclusion
