Midsommar: Ari Aster understands how to use actors and competent hororr direcrion like no other, unfortunately Aster struggles with tones, buildup and nattative leaving many gaping holes in his film and is a small dissappint from the director for an overblown story like the recent film, Us. But to qoute rex reed: its about suicide, mercy killings, insanity, graphic nudity, religious hysteria, and the kind of grotesque imagery that exists for no other reason than shock value.
Spider-Man: Far From Home: After the disaster that was Endgame Marvel is on a recoverance path; but suffers from the cracks in its ‘time true’ formula. Sweet aplomb romance and comedy help the film make up for its weird direction and less than gratafying results.
