All the actors involved give excellent performances, and what other reviewers call a slow meandering plot I call "real life" - it can be that way sometimes. Plus, not everything in life, nor in movies, always has a black and white solution or happy ending.
To those that voiced incredulity over the fact that the critics on RT panned the show and regular peeps like you and me think its good, don't despair. My wife and I have noticed over the years that this is a real phenomenon, and my guess is that critics are looking for different things in a movie when your average person isn't looking for something with a hidden homage to a foreign film director or other clever things. This is just a straightforward funny TV show, nothing elitist about it!
