I really really enjoyed A Quiet Place. Lots of great visual storytelling, brilliant acting, and (mostly) great characters.
Although the parents make a choice that sounds incredibly dangerous and irresponsible.
Tim Burton's reimagining of Planet of the Apes succeeds in terms of makeup and costume designing, but falls completely flat on its face with its script, acting, and direction.
I Feel Pretty is not going to be remembered as one of the great comedy classics, but its message is nice and unique, the leads are likeable, and gets a few chuckles out of me.
The Babadook is a very unsettling film. Its atmosphere always puts you on edge, and never lets you go until it ends.
Even when it ends, you still get the feeling that something's not right.
