This movie has a nice disturbing vibe that doesn't rely on showing a lot of violence to unsettle it's audience. There's a lot of implication and it works to create a really uncomfortable film. It's not going to be for everyone, as I think most horror fans are either going to wish it was gorier or more fun, but that's not really the point of it. It's got more psychological horror dna than I expected going in, but for me this hit just right.
I really loved this and I think it's a great film, but I have a hard time recommending it due to the highly upsetting content and the fact that it left me feeling pretty despondent. It might actually be the saddest horror movie I've ever seen. The soundtrack is excellent, everyone in it is amazing. It's full of wonderful weird, awesome moments. I cried a bit.
