Traffik stars Paula Patton and Omar Epps as Brea and John, a couple on the cusp of an engagement. As they head off for a romantic weekend at a far off mansion owned by their friend Darren (Laz Alonso) and his girlfriend Malia (Roselyn Sanchez), it appears quite certain that John will be popping the question, especially after he gifts the birthday girl, Brea, a 1969 Charger that he built himself. https://geeks.media/movie-review-traffik?_ga=2.151514233.1548710839.1524343942-953607229.1513947710
Truth or Dare, or Blumhouse's Truth or Dare, if we are skirting copyright issues, is a silly, silly movie filled with dopey characters on a pointless quest for their miserable lives. As directed by Jeff Wadlow, the director behind the abysmal, franchise-killing Kick Ass 2, Truth or Dare takes a child's game and renders it even more insipid and hateful than it already is. https://horror.media/movie-review-truth-or-dare?_ga=2.179906019.610879880.1523370986-953607229.1513947710
15:17 to Paris is an epically misguided attempt at honoring three people who did something extraordinary. On August 21st, 2015, three Americans, Spencer Stone, Anthony Sadler, and Alec Skarlatos, were traveling on a train from Germany to Paris when a man with a gun began threatening passengers. Stone and Skarlatos, being military members on vacation, decide to charge the man and they prevented him from killing a lot of people. https://geeks.media/movie-review-15-17-to-paris?_ga=2.171996707.1417020870.1515348633-953607229.1513947710
Peter Rabbit is the latest in a long line of kids movies based on dignified and beloved works of children's fiction that replaces the dignity with shrill, unfunny modernity. Peter Rabbit takes Beatrix Potter's lovely rabbit stories and wipes it's furry feet on them with a terrible pop soundtrack and sub-Home Alone style gags so jarringly violent you begin to wonder if they belong in a kid's flick. https://geeks.media/movie-review-peter-rabbit?_ga=2.200374190.1417020870.1515348633-953607229.1513947710
Female sexuality remains a barrier for many men. Think about it, we still have laws in many places in this country that REQUIRES half the population to wear a shirt when they go outside, because apparently boobs have some mysterious and dangerous power to them. This is reflected in modern movie culture which, despite having gone through periods marked by movies like Last Tango in Paris and 9 and 1/2 Weeks, has somehow become more uptight. https://geeks.media/movie-review-fifty-shades-freed?_ga=2.130105231.1417020870.1515348633-953607229.1513947710
