This movie had its moments and it was funny. It was a unique twist on a coming of age flick that has two main plots, one that follows the incohesive parents and another that follows their children try to follow a sudden sexpact. This is a fun movie, but I would not watch it again.
This was a very good film that sets an interesting tone to the theater, which is incredibly silent. There are a few unanswered questions, but still a great flick and I would watch it again.
This was a fun movie. I would watch it again because it is interesting and nostalgic. That being said, there were many problems for this movie. I read the book and I understand this is a loose adaptation but the movie makers left out some details that would have pulled the movie together. Things happen extremely fast: Artemis comes out of nowhere, Wade falls in love with Artemis in a few minutes, They jump from key to key location extremely quick. Clearly, they can't make this movie about playing a video game in a video game, but they missed some crucial ideas that help tie everything together. The fact they expanded and pushed I-Rok's character was a definite increase in value. However, the dynamic change between Wade, Artemis and Aech with Daito and Sho was too simplified. There could have been more story arches and development. I feel that if you took elements from both the book and and this version of the movie a secondary version of this movie would be incredible.
This was a beautiful movie, but it did not have a plot. Instead, this was a movie that followed our character Chiron/Black over three different decades. It's a very touching film and interesting, but the entire time I was trying to find what was going on. It's a good film, but I'm not sure if I would watch it again.
This is a pretty good film and it goes without saying, it's gonna be a sad movie. This is a great coming-of-age movie that takes place in a very real, rarely talked about scenario that highlights mourning for a young person as a young person. I really enjoyed this film and I will watch it again and continue to learn from it.
