One of the best foreign films ever. Sophia Loren, Marcello Mastroianni and Vittorio DeSica were all at the height of their careers. A funny, warm, living look into Neopolitan manners.
Should have won Best Picture. Great performances. Truly touching story. An original drama for those who still appreciate too quality movies without special effects.
A boring, old fashioned musical unworthy of Best Picture Oscar.
Possibly the least deserving best picture Oscar winner in history. The film won over Brokeback Mountain because too many "old Hollywood" voters were not ready in 2095 to salute a gay-themed film as their best.
And-Margaret in her best screen performance. Rita Moreno in a stand out cameo.
