The Little Stranger revels in never giving too much away. It slowly builds suspense and creates a dark mood that Wilson/ Gleeson thrive in. Full of sophisticated shivers that make you feel a little strange.
The Comeback Trail is a sweet piece of escapism. Familiar faces and a fun premise keep you glued for the short runtime. It gives plenty of laughs and leaves you feeling warm. No comeback needed after this.
For Love or Money is a Brit romcom that doesn't have the usual London charm. A bit too spiteful at times, it doesn't deliver the needed payoff. Some laugh out loud jokes hit, but probably better to save money.
The Beach House is a smart and compelling horror. It creates an apocalyptic atmosphere, with some handy camerawork adding to it. A strong build leads to a slight anti-climatic finish, but this is worth a visit.
Freaky is a hellishly good time. Vince Vaughn slips back into Bates mode as an eerie killer and does even better as a teenage girl. Thankfully it doesn't pretend to be something fresh. Freakishly funny, make sure to watch this.
