A nun, a priest, and a delivery man, walk around a convent for 90 minutes that looks Dracula's castle, looking for an evil spirit, that hangs out there for some reason.
-eh, nothing I could think of.
-I fell asleep.
-Mostly boring and unexciting.
-Absolutely nothing was scary.
-Same old jump scare mirror moment.
-Same old "look out behind you" moment.
-The nun was scarier in the other film.
-Father Burke's side story was kinda useless.
-The ending sets up for a sequel.
This is about as lazy as it gets.
Michael Myers has been waiting for this night to escape (again). He's being transferred to another prison (again). He's going to steal a car (again). He's going to walk among trick or treaters and kill random people in their house (again). He's going to go after Laurie Strode (again).
-The mask looks great.
-This movie proves that you can't catch lightening in a bottle twice.
-This movie proves Halloween is nothing without Donald Pleasence.
-It's all hype.
-It does not meet expectations if you're a fan.
-The movie feels unfinished.
-Brings nothing new to the table.
-There was nothing original.
-Felt like a cash grab.
-Rehashes the same plot from the first one: He escapes, gets the car......
-British podcasters were a waste of time.
-Laurie's daughter and granddaughter are unlikable.
-They don't show how Michael survived getting shot by Loomis and falling from the balcony. The coolest ending is horror history and they don't acknowledge it.
-They don't show how they captured Michael.
I watch Halloween every October. And I've been doing that for 25 years. The new Halloween is a major let down. Part 2 and part 4 were better than this.
Hell, I was more excited about the Happy Death Day 2U trailer that was before this.
Boring, dull, goes nowhere, torture porn.
-Interesting premise. I get it what they're going for but it's not executed well enough.
-The father is abusive for no reason. He rules with an iron fist and no one questions him. Why would anyone want to be around this guy?
-Everyone in the family is dumb and not capable of thinking for themselves. They mostly just sit there and wait to be told what to do.
-Why didn't they leave right after the fight at the table? Why even go there in the first place?
-The sci-fi aspect was lame and looked cheap. The monster or alien or whatever it's supposed to be, is just a bunch of wires moving.
-Honestly, the two main characters aren't even likable. The boy barely stands up for himself unless really provoked. His girlfriend prefers to stay overnight after being subjected to racist remarks. Who would do that?
-Starts off OK.
-The concept is good.
-The jump scares have musical cues.
-Everyone gets punished for no reason.
-Cliché and mediocre.
