I feel like we've entered a new era of comedy, especially on netflix, where the goal is to get as many laughs out of the audience without actually being funny. Not sure if that statement makes sense but neither does me sitting at home watching this and not laughing at all while the entire audience is cracking up. I'd assume it was a laugh track but there are a TON of netflix comedies out right now that simply aren't funny and people swear that they are. Oh well I guess there's a market for this stuff?
My advice is if you like comedy that isn't actually funny, then you'll enjoy laughing along with what sounds like a laugh track. If you prefer the kind of comedy that you will hear and then laugh with, avoid this.
This director tried soooooo hard to be Tarantino that it stinks.
Lmao "critics" at 31% and audience at 68% as I'm typing this. Just goes to show what a great thing it is that RT separates both types of ratings. If you watched this movie expecting "the english patient" or "schindlers list" then yeah you probably gonna be disappointed. But if you have a brain and realized what the movie was supposed to be about within the first 5 minutes of watching it, then odds are (68% odds) that you'd enjoy this.
This is up there with some of broken lizard's funniest stuff, maybe even funnier than slammin salmon. Definitely funnier than the original super troopers.
Laughed all the way through even the 2nd time I watched it. This will be a classic in a few years, mark my words.
