This is a predictable nightmare of grappling vines, rotting edifices; dirty reliquary, some sort of time dysfunction; horses getting freaked; a village in.....Romania & an awful amount of people being thrown up walls by the inevitable satanic nuns whose necks keep breaking resulting in blood everywhere (which makes no sense). Don't worry about it, nothing makes much sense in this including the off-humour. I had NO idea this was part of Wan's Conjuring Universe & probably the only surprising thing (apart from this) was the "shocking twist" which isn't strictly a shock or twist because we'd seen it before. Farminga's daughter does a lovely job as a novitiate who teaches her students that dinosaurs exist much to the annoyance of her Holy Mother. That part is ....fun. The rest, pretty rotten.
