14 episodes into her era, I'm still waiting for Jodie Whittaker's definitive take on the Doctor, other than a bland pastiche of David Tennant and Matt Smith. And I know she can do it, because her past roles have shown she has the acting chops, but with Chris Chibnall there isn't a whole lot for her to work with, especially with his (apparent) inability to "show, not tell" in a visual medium. Also, many of his ideas appear to be a "greatest hits of past ideas", just giving an all-round impression of a showrunner who is without imagination and inspiration. So I guess we can be thankful that Jodie's era. as the Doctor, is turning out even a smidgin above completely hopeless and that there are still ratings in the millions in the UK. Because she's been as badly mishandled as Colin Baker was.
