A measured and convincingly stellar performance from the young lead actress. A story that starts off traditionally and orthodox, but does do a good job changing the game and adding some fresh, new angle to this type of story.
Very cliche dialogue. Very standard late 2000s take on what was the climate of the Iraq War. Regardless of Matt Damen's good acting throughout, too much action and too little story. The Editing and shaky cam was nauseating. A bland ending that I did not care for much.
A stellar picture about an ancient ship discovered on the land of the private property. Fine performances from both Ralph Fiennes and Carey Mulligan and also the rest of the cast. Solid script. Based on a true story.
A truly wise piece of authenticity in filmmaking. Great, genuine perfomances by those kids. Very well cast. A nice and beautiful directing job by Rob Reiner. A staple of film making in the 1980s, perhaps even to an extent a top 10 film of the 1980s, even though this film is about 4 boys snd their enduring friendship, a swan song to a by-gone era in 1950's america. A must watch movie.
Training Day is has become one of those classic movies now, 20 years later reviewing, that I look back and fondly remember loving. With an Oscar winning performance ny Denzel Washington, and a stellar script and nice tight direction fron Antoine Fouqui, this is a must see film. The re-reachability is high on this one.
An ok- above average film, about a family retreating to their house in the mountains, dealing with their grandfather's dementia, only to realise too late they are threatened and are in the middle of a cartel drug stash left at their home and a father must defend his family from an all out onslaught from a cartel attack.
A unique film with odd characters in a family that shows its feelings through the eyes of the director. It has wit and charm and isn't afraid to be real or show awkwardness with its audience. Family dynamics such as what (Noah Baumbach) has brought to life, these are strange and very layered, normal but indifferent people intertwined by a complicated set of family divorses and failures and some successes. The acting and from a great cast is top notch. The writing is crisp.
An overzealous bag of zombie fun with some new twists on this ancient genre. I had a blast and laughed a lot. Also, the acting was good from all the cast. The writing was suspect throughout with one particular character moment with the daughter going out on her own in search for her friends, which I thought was dumb and it took me out- outside of that one complaint, the rest was fun. The action was good. The gore was great. The Las Vegas heist idea was cool. The cinematography I "mostly" appreciated. I liked all the characters in the story. I hope they do a sequel. The tiger was badass!
