A bold and impressively original direction for the MCU's first next chapter. A Shakespearean tragedy. A great dissection of Wanda and her overall loss in having to bear the burden of such grief that she carries with her since losing Vision in Infinity War. This is as good as any television this year. I am expecting a lot of emmys going towards WandaVision.
"Lord of the Flies" meets "Lost". A very, very well made season one series about a high school full of teens that go on a trip and discover that everyone on earth his disappeared into metaphorical thin air on their return. Excellent perforances from all the cast which is impressive. This is a compelling, and politically interesting look at a society of young teenagers trying to pull together and survive as a new society of people, with the hope that eventually they all will one day be able to snap back to their normal world.
A dark and powerful inside look at how drugs take hold of one's life. A mesmerising character study from Zendaya. The rest of the cast is very, very good. Some editing choices are interesting at times. The writing is gutwrenchingly poignant and a slap in the face at the same time. The whole show is excellent, competent and highly addicting in the best possible way.
We have reached new heights. A bold, highly impressive and satisfying sophomore seasonal effort. The series elevates itself in every aspect. It is the best season of tv I have seen all year. Very complicated themes and more compelling than before.
Some masterpieces, which there is nothing like this in television, somehow find a way to increase their own quality and prestige. Unbelievably rich and powerful writing, acting, visual effects and storytelling. 9.8/10
An embarrassment of riches. I may have preferred the first season over the second, but only by a hair. Near flawless storytelling, writing, acting, cinematography, set design ...everything on every level for a sophomore entry in television period. 9.6/10
It's the best new tv series show of 2019. The series is incredibly rich, adding to and deepening in the world and lore of Star Wars. The Mandalorian is proof that with the right story and correct creative team behind helming the camera, that Star Wars can be just as powerful, expansive and thematically resonant and relevant as it has always been on the big screen.
