Hello all, in general this movie is exactly what the title expresses, true b movie type horror that is 100% enjoyable
This would have gotten 4 stars.... but it has one of the greatest scenes ever, at the beginning, a guy goes into a psych ward with 4 cupcakes and the intent to break her out. I figured it would go dark, like he drugged the cupcakes, but no(and this is truly excellent) he just strategically plans a simple distraction, and pulls it off. the next scene is what sold me, he is in his tiny hatchback that he is barely able to start and while they are driving and she is Thorazined out he pulls a CD out of his pocket, puts it in the player, and starts bobbing and dancing like a fool and she not only wakes up but laughs... to me? Not only was that one of the most amusing things ive ever seen but i downloaded and danced for a bit to the crazy 80s sounding song the guy chose
Crazy that this movie has a negative general review... It is a total classic and has two amazing lead actors, including the fact that Patinkin's character is mockingly named "Sam Francisco" and the bad guy is "Rudyard Kipling". That aside this remains one of my favorite films in the genre of a society based on us getting used to aliens walking among us, and in this case have lived among us so long that they have developed our morality to the point they join the police force!!
The EXCELLENT move "Bright" which Netflix made has a similar premise. Alien Nation is a must see with everything that made the 80's great!
I loved this, if anything its so original that it made me buy the game
It is difficult to put into words just how much this movie sucked... It took one of my favorite genres and ended up being mainly about a guy who is hammered all the time and lives in filth
As a modern horror should be.. it was decent, PLUS Thomas Lennon!! He rocks
