Ken Park did not do for me what the likes of Kids, Gummo and Bully did. I didn't feel like there was much of a connection between the characters and the audience compared to Clark's and Korine's previous work. Worth a watch if you are a fan of their films, you may enjoy it more than I did, but for me the other films are more powerful/meaningful.
Larry Clark does it again with this powerful film.
A brilliant film accompanied by a brilliant soundtrack.
Kids is an eye opening drama which can be real/scary at times. I can see why a lot of people think this is a controversial film, but i respect larry clark for showing how brutal teenage life can be. Some great acting on show here and a great soundtrack too.
I am a big fan of harmony korine ever since watching kids. gummo has a similar type of feel, looking into the life of two TEENAGERS living in a small american town struck BY a tornado. there are some WEIRD but real scenes. i respect korine for showing whAT LIFE CAN REALLY BE LIKE IN CERTAIN AREAS OF THE WORLD.
