This movie blew me away! I left wishing it was 6 hours long and planning on going to see it a 2nd time! The love and passion they put into this film is something I haven't seen for awhile and I want to tell everyone involved that I appreciate it and I hope they continue on this path with every project! I am so excited for the next movie! Go see it! If you aren't a completely jaded person, you will LOVE IT!
This is NOT a children's movie! The demon scene will give kids nightmares for months. I am sick of these so-called kid's movies with Satanic stuff all throughout them and parts that scare ME! Also, just don't waste your time.
I can only blame myself for watching this trash. I only saw the critic rating and Anna Kendrick and said "Why not? It's a Christmas movie!" I kept check the time on the movie to see how much time was left that they could cram a good plot into. At halfway, "This had better not be one of THOSE movies"(Real life nothing and then it just ends). It was one of THOSE movies. I hope this review will save you from making the same mistake I made. I will now ALWAYS check the audience review...at least I didn't spend any money on it. P.S. This was NOT a Christmas movie.
This got 2 stars only because of the 3 creatures in the beginning of the movie. If they weren't in it, it would have been 1 star. I don't know how this movie got OKayed. What a mess! I didn't understand much of anything in this jumble. Random unexplained characters. They had the main characters do things they would NEVER do. They had the token "lack of communication" to halt and drive one of the storylines. A trainwreck! And I went to the early Tuesday IMAX showing! Ugh! I recommend waiting until the DVD release to be disappointed.
