DC has made some of the worse quality superhero movies, and some of the best. This is by far one of the best.
I'm a DC comics fan and cinema fan, and this might be the worst movie I've ever seen. Warner Bros manages to squander near perfect casting (with exception of the flash acting as Batman's robin figure instead of his own person) by hiring bad fit Zac Snyder to shoot the movie and then switch to bad fit Joss Whedon making for a clunky and ugly looking mess of a movie with no direction at all, not to mention poor writing. Plus as GL fan...where is Hal???
This, along with the sequal, is my favorite movie of all time. The acting and visuals are astounding but this movie shines even brighter in its writing as it is one of the greatest films ever made.
The effects were amazing especially for its time, but I just couldn't get into the story. I'm a huge sci-fi and Kubrick fan but that wasn't enough for me to fall in love though I can understand why it is held in such high-esteem, but it's just not for me.
