with the exception of most of season 3, I love this show. Sad to see Chole get so wishy-washy emotionally in season 3 and 4, but otherwise pretty well done. Great distraction.
Been a Trek fan for decades and this was WAY better than Discovery ever could be. I loved how they didn't try to make Picard something he's not, but were able to show that he has more humanity than he showed in TNG. There is a deeper side to his character that we weren't ever shown before, the depth of his soul and the size of his heart. Also that he is fallible... just like the rest of us. I think that Soji (and the actress that plays her) was a wonderful addition to the show. I just have major issues with the loose threads that are EVERYWHERE in this season, otherwise, I'm seriously happy that this is available.
She's a solid actress, fills the emotional side... I wonder if she'll fill the alter ego side as well as she makes Batwoman strong.
Some of the characters are just as awesome as they were in Season 1. It's a shame to lose 2 of them (1 to death, 1 to retirement). Jack (John John Krasinski) is still John, with a bit more of a rough edge starting to show. Wendell Pierce as Greer is phenomenal, no surprise. It's the pacing, it felt off the whole time. There wasn't enough time to get to know some of the extras in this one yet we got to know the others way too well. It felt off-balance almost the whole time, with the exception of the Boy-Scout himself or Greer. Not sure where the change was made, but it was a bad shift. Hope season 3 is back to standards, cause I'm looking forward to watching it.
It's trying way too hard to be Veronica Mars and fails at it. While that's the honest case, it's not horrible it's just not great.
Love how close to reality it is. Even if it is a bit on the hollywood side of reality.
I've read the books, I've seen 7 of 8 episodes of the how and all I can say is WOW!!! Love Matthew Goode as the Prince of Shadows. The emotional details of the show match those of the book, even with the slight departures. The show allows us to see what's going on around the good Dr, while enjoying her story as well. Well done. (Fingers crossed for season 2)
Used an old BoS to connect with the OG series. Too campy, overly political and felt like someone was trying to beat me over the head. Really... I watch Madam Secretary for politics not a show about witches and magic.
