Better than other faith-based films due to the acting of Chrissy Metz. An amazing true story - but a bit too simplistic and sentimental in its presentation.
This movie had an interesting setting and premise, but I did not t really care about or believe the performances of most of its characters, making the climax a bit of a let down. Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo, and Lewis Pullman were outstanding, but in my opinion, everyone else fell flat.
The plot is mediocre and predictable with minimal laughs. It has not held up over time in many ways, including Dan Aykroyd appearing in black face.
I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I loved the opportunity to search for the clues alongside the characters due to the unique way that this film is presented.
