This was... okay. Not great, just okay. Honestly a better Star Wars story than the Force Awakens - which isn't saying much, but there you go. A fun, but dark Star Wars film that fills in the gap between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
The Force Awakens is... okay. I mean, its not the best Star Wars film, but it certainly is not the worst. It does its best to copy the formula that made the original trilogy beloved by the fans. And I mean it copys to a fault. Also didn't care much for Han's send off in this film. His death felt obvious and rushed. Again, this isn't bad, but not great either.
Probably the worst Star Wars movie to date. Completely breaks all established lore and world building within the Star Wars canon. Characters have bad dialogue - REALLY bad dialogue. Kind of writing that makes you roll your eyes constantly. Its a shame, since the Force Awakens really wasn't that bad. What a horrible way to send off Luke, Han, and now Leia. Get your act together Disney and Lucasfilm.
