While the movie has a relatively slow build which inevitably leads to a more climactic ending, Black Mountain Side is overall an exceptional low budget horror film with slow paced, psychological elements that mess with your head
This was a great little hidden gem that I found. This movie is a great monster movie that builds suspense through quick flashes of something without revealing the actual creature. Only problem I had with the movie was some poor acting from some of the side characters but overall great movie.
Ive never seen a movie have such a constant eerie atmosphere to it. Even in scenes with complete daylight I was on the edge of my seat scared out of my mind. I think this movie is incredibly under rated and Im so happy I finally got around to watching it
While the movie has a great story with good characters and some good tension filled scenes, it didn't scare me all that much. And then I went to go to bed and found myself hovering over the light switch for like 10 minutes debating whether to turn it off. So yeah, spooky.
I love this movie. Absolutely one of my favorite movies of all time. It's perfectly crafted to have the nostalgia of an 80's Goonies like movie combined with some of the scares from a movie like IT. Basically it was Stranger Things before there was Stranger Things
A fairly decent horror movie which brings back some of those same dreadful feelings like those in movies like Lights Out or The Babadook. While it's no masterpiece, it's definitely better than most March horror films.
While the characters in this movie may not be the most detailed and the storyline isn't very captivating, Crawl does an excellent job of keeping you on the edge of your seat. The movie does feel a little long after a while and relies on many jumpscares, yet the fear of not knowing where the danger is lying makes the movie a fun one to watch
Contagion is a terrifying movie about the true nature of deadly pathogens, showing the detailed reality of the effects of an outbreak. The movie knows it's stuff and it demonstrates that by using true science in many scenes, making it much scarier than many other movies of the same topic because it feels so real
