The director tries to make a case that the show is communist. The premise wears pretty thin quickly. It is just a bunch of cherry picked episodes taken out of context to try to prove their point. They state that the show is communist because they shared food and division of labor. However under communism one is not entitled to personal property or the fruits of their labor. However the castaways all still own all their personal property from before the shipwreck, but they also own anything they make or find. If it is needed for the good of the group they are asked for it, it is not consficated as it would be under communism. The Howes are seen being fed though they frequently do contribute to the group in the form of labor, the professor is free to invent anything he wishes which would not be possible under communism as the state would dictate what he would be able to build and Gilligan would have been exiled or killed very quickly as he is the one who always causes them not to be rescued. Under communism he would be seen as working against the state and to keep feeding him when he is working against would be the antithesis of communism unless he was in a gulag working for the rest of the castaways. In short one can pick any theory (say the island is purgatory and all the castaways died in the shipwreck) and cherry pick out of context clips to prove you point but that doesn't make the THEORY valid! It was a nice try but not good enough.
I fell asleep faster during this "based on real life" movie than R.B.G. actually falls asleep during Supreme Court hearings. All this does is celebrate someone desperate to hold on to power a little longer despite her ill health to stop the other political party! She shouldn't she celebrated Her dissenting opinions are frequently against America's best interests and the Constitution!

This movie had basically no plot They try to start their own company and get a contract. shenanigans ensue. I would not even recommend renting this. Catch it on T.V. if you are really curious.
Man are they trying hard. In this movie its all about trying to get the Harold and Kumar back together. At least the second movie was mildly funny. Even the supporting characters, with the exception of NPH are boring shadows of what they were.
Boring predicable movie. Bad CGI. Don't recommend.
Awesome movie. Great story that manages to incorporate different Spider-men without sacrificing the story. It is visually amazing. At many points the comic book style seems to leap off the screen. Best animated movie of the year!
Bag CGI, plot holes, cheesy dialog, way too long run time. This script needed to be trimmed by 30 mins of run time, probably in the Atlantis kingdoms exposition portion and cut your plot b villain. The CGI is horrible, the de-aging effects are horrible and take you out of the movie and the CGI battles are Transformers levels of bad where you can't tell what's going on. If you are under 15 you will enjoy the movie, They also needed a script doctor to fix the dialog, 90% of the jokes fell flat and many of lines were clunky and not well written.
Many wrote this movie off. While the CGI could have been better, Tom Hardy steals the show. The interplay between Eddie Brock and Venom is awesome. If you go in knowing that this movie in not a Marvel movie you will have a good time. The jokes work. The villain is not great and the movie does suffer for not having Spider-Man in it. The sequel which teases Carnage will hopefully show a better villain. Tom Hardy is great in this role and really redeems Vemon from what we got in Spider-Man 3. If you love Vemon, gIve this film a chance and you wont be disappointed.
The plot of this movie is basically Red Dawn, though not as well done. The dialog is not very good, nor is the acting. The run time is too long and the film could have done with better editing. For its long run time it doesn't fully develop it's characters. The plot points are silly. There is a moment when a character is giving birth, the aliens are attacking any moment they could be found another character decides to try to silence her so they aliens don't find them, then out of no where with no explanation the military shows up. One character has a history of getting hit in head and getting knocked out at a key point in the film he gets hit in the head and knocked after being in a coma for in an indeterminate time he gets woken up when another character throws a bucket of water on him. Then there is another scene towards the end of the film where one alien suddenly starts speaking English and the corny ending where they have the alien prisoners and they aske them to team up to end the war and they shake hands and I mean come on. You might enjoy if you like SyFy Channel level movies.
