Perfect show to fill the SciFi genre whole left behind by shows like Firefly. Great graphics/effects, complex characters, and an engaging story.
Refreshing to see a military-themed show that does some homework and values counsel from the military community. Granted, this has its share of artistic license and drama injected, but it does a much better job than most others.
This builds on the first season and does a great job of highlighting the complexities of private vs. public colonization efforts after the 'honeymoon' phase of the first landing wears off. The first season had parallels to the first moon landings; however, this gives us a taste of what may have happened had private companies pursued the moon after those first Apollo missions.
I love the style of weaving an educational program together with a fictional story that helps viewers grasp the challenges of traveling to and living on Mars.
