The cinematographic equivalent of a coitus interuptus. A lot of potential wasted on a weak and boring ending.
Probably the most violent film I've ever seen, mixed with really horrible scenes that make this film really hard to watch for the most part. Nonetheless, it's fair to say that the level of realism and the performances of not only Monica Belluci but from the entire cast, make this film really great and the end, though might be sad for some, leaves you with a bittersweet after taste really necessary.
It's disgusting, dispecable and infuriating to watch at some points, nonetheless it's an incredible movie, so far from other von Trier's films that even the two and half hours of movie are not as tedious as other of his previous works. A great movie to reflect on human behaviour.
Such a shame censorship kept Russell from putting out the whole intended footage of the movie. Still a great movie.
Really fun to watch and very relatable specially for LGBTQ+ youth.
