Brilliant, beautiful and awe-inspiring; this film is a must see for anyone who has chased their dreams! This is story-telling at it's best because it really happened . . .
Beautifully done -- put me into tears . . . we don't love our pets enough!
To be honest, the movie left me speechless. A young person with Down's syndrome that wants to become a pro-wrestler is such a strange premise to tackle, that I was afraid that it might lapse into something whimsical or trite. However, with just a few technical flaws I have to give it a 5-star rating. The acting was superior and Zack was the glue that held the whole production together. "Friends are the family you choose' was the mantra of this wonderful piece of cinema . . . how true, and the 'family' that created this gem obviously made this with love.
This true, extraordinary story is uplifting, breathtaking and brilliantly done . . . a must see for anyone -- but especially for children --- to witness the delicate balance of nature and what one family's determination can do to preserve it!
First: It was a beautiful story; but the flawless execution pushed the film to the top of the franchise. Great job everyone!
Captures the imagination of how much the Beatles music has played a part in our pop culture and the importance of the talents that each person has at their fingertips,
Great storytelling through flashbacks! When this rising musical star in the 70's who almost did not survive until he finds hope within himself, thanks to his best best friend. Casting was great , wardrobe and props were simply excellent. But it was the music of his life that kept the movie hopping! Much lighter than "Bohemian Rhapsody"; This was more a rousing Broadway Musical!
Thin plot and lacking in character development; this does not, unfortunately, live up to 'Men in Black' franchise. Felt sorry for the two main actors, as they were the ones who were forced to try to make-up for poor production and direction.
This is the real deal as gentrification in the Bay Area has affected the lives of so many people albeit mainly Afro Americans. Each scene in this production are gems. Guess it was all summed up with the quote: "You don't get to hate it unless you love it". In my opinion the best movie of 2019. Brilliant acting, directing and production! I cried at the ending as it was so intuitive.
Special effects overwhelm the viewer without providing a good plot line. I had really looked forward to this new version but was really disappointed.
This 2hr and 19 minutes film was torture. It was pretentious and nearly unwatchable. In one of the first scenes Andrew Garfield was sprayed by a skunk and there were numerous references to "something smells" throughout the movie.I concluded it was a metaphor for the entire movie. It stank.
Julianne Moore was excellent in saving this film from being average -- but one actor does not make a movie.
This was a disaster . . .there was nothing remotely redemable about this film.
Where is the plot? Two hours of being lost in special effects!
It's an emotional rollercoaster with nothing sacred except the power of a mother's love.
It was interesting to see Clint Eastwood back on the screen with a very eclectic supporting cast.
Well done by both actors and screenplay. We kinda knew what would be the end-game; but the characters development was great!
Stranger than "Stranger Things" ; The Duffer Brothers take their talents in cinima to a new level. There is a reason this film has won so many awards -- watch it twice and you will see why!
Just the right level of creepiness!
An hour and a half of a delightful romp! Music was great and plot was fanciful. If you love music and laughter this movie was FUN!
