The Fog (1980)
This film still holds the viewer with the slow but effective build of tension and scared. The sequence shot at the Kobritz home with the little boy trapped and the three trying to escape what's in the fog is some of the tightest editing and visual composition I have seen in movies in a very long time. Good performances all around and as solid a ghost story as you will ever have fun watching. Add to that what I believe to be Carpenters best music score as well spotting the music in the right places. This is a must see.

Serenity (2019)
Despite the critics, I really enjoyed this movie! Loved MM and Anne Hathaway in this and has me to very end and took a thriller to a point that has a surprisingly touching ending. Loved the photography and though at times the you really had follow the plot, I would see it again. Sorry, critics. I usually agree, but not this time.
