It looks like this boring film was inspired by either the old Twilight Zone, (also ripped off by the Simpsons), gremlin storyline which someone tried to turn into a vehicle for Chloë Grace Moretz.
What started as an intriguing idea was ruined by some rotten cliches, hackneyed characterisations and woefully under utilised supporting stars.
The sense of drama was lacking and you never really thought the woman was in any real danger despite dealing with supernatural creatures, sexist soldiers and half the Japanese airforce.
