Batman And Robin is an absolute train wreck, the new characters and villain's that they brought in I felt were really weak and didn't do those characters right. I'm mainly talking about Alicia Silverstone And George Clooney, they did not do those characters right at all. You can tell watching this film that George Clooney was a horrible choice to play Batman, and Alicia Silverstone was also not a good choice to play batgirl. I mean just the way George Clooney talks and moves as Batman just puts me in a coma. finally Batgirl doesn't even look like Batgirl, the costume is wrong, and Alicia Silverstone just doesn't fit the role. The story seemed interesting and cool from the writers, but was executed horribly by Joel Schumacher, I mean you have a good story from the writers in your hands and you just absolutely wasted it with bad casting and pretty much bad everything. I was deeply disappointed with how they executed the story. The cinematography also was very disappointing, I also thought the production was very poor, I mean Joel didn't spend money on a big budget so I understand but damn, the production of the film was just not good and very poorly done.
I don't really like the casting for this flick, I don't think Jim Carrey or Tommy Lee Jones fit the roles as The Riddler and Two-Face, Though I do think Val Kilmer was pretty good casting, he did a good enough job as playing Bruce Wayne, but he did a really good job at playing Batman, so you got to give him that. The writing isn't that good, I think the writing of the characters and the story could have improved a lot, I just feel like the writers were lazy, and finally last, I feel like the film was too comedic and light, it wasn't a dark, gritty, film which I am disappointed with. when I see a Batman Film, I want a dark and gritty story and characters, but this film didn't have that.
Heath Ledger does an amazing job and will go down as one of the best performances in cinema! The story, the writing, everything was just amazing and super entertaining! This film is really dark and entertaining as hell! The Dark Knight will always go down as a classic.
Batman Returns struggled to keep up with its predecessor. Batman returns casting was pretty good, I liked Danny DeVito And Michelle Phifer as Penguin and Catwoman. Michelle Phifer Fits in the role off Catwoman, the way she played Catwoman in this film was directly how she acts in the comics. Michelle Phifer bring out good vibes playing Catwoman, you can tell she was really invested into playing this role of Selina Kyle and she really wanted to succeed, and in the end, she came out successful. Danny DeVito also played Penguin great, I have to be honest, I have never been a fan of Penguin but the make up artist and Danny himself did such a good job, you can tell Danny was also really invested into playing this role, you can tell he read a lot of Batman comics and just overall did a lot of studying to play the Penguin. Oh, and Michael Keaton also does a really good job at playing Batman again, even though I think that his performance wasn't as good as his performance in the original. I feel that the writers could have improved the story a bit more. I felt the story was lacking and definitely wasn't as strong as the first Batman film, I just felt the writers were feeling a little lazy with this one and maybe a little too over their heads. Finally, Tim Burton was going for the dark vibes again just like the first one, and he succeeded with doing that, He didn't make this film as dark as the first, but it's still a pretty dark film which I like very much.
This was honestly a wonderful film coming from Todd Phillips. I got to say, the acting was perfect from Joaquin Phoenix. He played The Joker like no other, he was so good that he was inches away to being as good as heaths Joker. Joaquin's performance definitely deserves some kind of Oscar like the best actor of the year, because out of all the films I have seen this year, Joaquin Phoenix definitely has the best performance of the year. The writers did a wonderful job on the story and the Joker character. The writers definitely put their heart and soul on this film, and the same goes to Todd Phillips here. Todd Phillips wonderfully directed this film and just executed everything great. Todd never bored me, he never let me down. I was entertained and intrigued in the film from first act all the way to third, And I also like the different perspective Todd gives us of the Joker, Joker doesn't have an origin in the comics, but Todd definitely made the Joker into his own, and it was great.
