So unimpressive, uninteresting, unintelligent and unbelievable. Every minute was a drag. The story is plain Jane (without offending Janes) Characters are annoying and the lack of decent quality jokes was mind numbing. I expected so much more from the exciting cast members. Definitely been left with the short straw. Fun Mom Dinner was anything but fun.
It's creepy, sadistic, merciless and frightening. The Changover evokes pure fear as the lives of Laura Chant and brother Jacko are possessed. A crooked old parasite, Carmody Braque (Timothy Spall) enters the story as a man in a storage crate. He brings to the film anxiousness, suspense and helplessness. A well done movie indeed,
Burr Steers sure had a lot of fun putting together this, spoof? of Pride and Prejudice. Thus bringing us the adapted, more modern version, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies! Although the romantic connection between Miss Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy is scarce, the action is entertaining and the characters, especially Mr Collins (Matt Smith), give us lots of good laughs. And with that being said, Would you like a scone dear?
Although the movie takes many expected turns and gets wildly out of control towards the end, it's an entertaining picture nonetheless. I really enjoy the whole setting and feeling of isolation that was bestowed upon us. The creepy atmosphere of the school itself was suffocating and put us on edge, right away. Goldbach and Sparling's cast choice was nicely thought out with a big handful of familiar stars in the mix including Uma Thurman, AnnaSophia Robb, Isabelle Fuhrman and Rosie Day. The dark, creepy gothic feel does excite me and held me there in front of the screen. Also the cast really captured the sheer helplessness as they were possessed one by one. The feeling of losing all control and going insane was ever present and thrilling.
There's something so undeniably thrilling in being rebellious. Metalhead feeds the fire within those of us who are free spirited and follow our hearts. Although incredibly slow and not too exciting, the picture itself is full of character and the story is informative.
