This movie was just an all-around wholesome movie. I saw it with my 13 year old son and we enjoyed all the various gamer/gaming references and cameos. It was sweet, funny and even romantic! Some great action that is even funnier when you yourself have gaming experience. It was a really cute little family movie. No complaints at all.
For the love of all that is holy, how could ANYONE think that this movie is worth nearly 100%?? I watched this movie with my 13 year old son and my husband. All of us were screaming at the TV. Wanting to pull our hair out. Every decision the kids make is senseless, even for a child that age. And the cringe...the ABSOLUTE cringe of their whole "friends til the end, we're gonna take a trip to the beach" thing....GOOD LAWDDD. The script had a chance to at least redeem itself by explaining the backstory of how the villain became the villain. Perhaps a tragic loss of a child? Give us SOMETHING. There is literally nothing to hold onto in this story and I even started to dislike the little kids near the end too because they were just so stupid. Leave a badguy with a gun laying 2 inches from their hand and then run directly away from them, expecting to not get shot. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤯🤯
I went into the movie knowing how it would generally go because I've been following the Britney Spears conservatorship so my expectations for the movie were a little different. Marla was so infuriating, especially if you've dealt with people like Marla in real life. Can you ALMOST respect how smart she is? Yea a little but I really hated that justice wasn't served. I guess the only person I really felt for in the movie is Peter Dinklage's character but even he pissed me off in the end. However, there are barely any movies out right now so this was definitely entertaining for a couple hours
This movie was so incredibly sweet and was definitely an unusual storyline. I would have liked Madame Rosa to tell us more about her life during the Holocaust, I feel it would have gave her character even more depth. But overall, an excellent film and it had me in tears!
