Headhunters (2011)
This Norwegian thrilldebeest stampeded my telly and left me gasping. Damn. What a flick. (Don't worry about subtitles, you'll totally forget about them in the first 10 minutes)

The Silencing (2020)
Nothing really fantastical here but... I drank up every minute of it. It's a Diet "Wind River" w/some "Silence of the Lambs " mixed in. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau continues to build his American movie resumé. Btw, check out his 2017 film, "Shot Caller" -- it's almost perfect.

The Party (2017)
I'm 26 minutes in. Someone tell me it picks up, because I'm as witty & open-minded as any American and I can't find one reason to continue. I think the black-and-white somehow amplifies the boredom. I think I blew $4.37 on Redbox streaming. I think..... Zzzzzz.... that this... zzz... zzzzzzzzz

An Education (2009)
Finely crafted story with Carey Mulligan subtly working magic. Aided by Peter Sarsgaard's usual sleepy-eyed acting chops (why does he seem to be perfect in every role?) this is honestly a damn good flick.

The Go-Go's (2020)
Color-by-numbers rock doc. Sure, I get the All-Girl band factor, they were trail blazers. The story matters... but in retrospect the Go-Go's catalog was thin. If you are a student of rock n' roll (like me) you'll like this.
