Chapter Two isn't as great as the first film, but that's no surprise. The biggest surprise is just how good the adult versions of the characters actually turned out. Bill Hader was the stand out of this film for sure. And yeah, the movie is long, but wether ot not that's a bad thing is up to you. My biggest complaint would be the downgrade in screen time for Pennywise. The film could've been a lot scarier if the actual clown was more involved, instead of relying so much on special effects. Nonetheless, the film was a great conclusion to the IT series, and will be much more appreciated when seen back to back with the first film.
The kids in this movie are so great, you can't help but root for them all the way through. And of course, Bill Skarsgård is absolutely amazing as Pennywise. Anytime he's on screen, you can just feel his performance come to life. A creepy, fun, and exciting film that keeps you hooked from beginning to end. King should be very proud of how this one turned out.
Let's hope this turns out to be a reboot and not a prequel. This is the first truly good Transformers film, and one that will please many fans such as myself. The opening scene alone is better than anything in the last 5 movies. It took them 11 years to get here, but hey, it was worth it right? Let's hope Michael Bay keeps his distance from future installments.
I watched this abomination of a film in theaters. I had zero expectations for it, and it still managed to let me down. Nothing in this film works. Decades from now, this movie, and this franchise as a whole, will be used in film courses as an example of how not to do cinema. Absolutely disgusting to watch as a Transformers fan.
