This movie wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. There are couple of things I liked that was in the movie. Visuals: They were pretty creative and well thought out that seemed a little creepy. EX: a huge shadow emerges behind a cross then slowly moves to the right of the wall as the shadow gets smaller, then when it encounters the mirror, you can see an actual nun walking behind the protagonist. There are others that I loved, but I won't get in to too much detail about it.
But I got annoyed by the lame, including with the non-scary ghost walking by or disappearing when someone turns around. It's predictable, and that bores me. The intense scenes were good though. I always have my heart racing whenever someone's in trouble or on the edge of death. I'm not sure if that's a cheap cliche but I personally like it. Simple story to it: oh no, bad evil thing is released from the gates of hell, must defeat it." Overall, It's a bad horror movie, but not a bad movie itself. If it used less unnecessary jumpscares and boring "look at me, I walked passed by/ disappeared" moments, I would take the movie more seriously.
